Baby's Name is...

Head Schalesky.

Last week we were driving and we were talking about last names. Caleb has two friends named Anna, so we were discussing the difference between Anna Hinck and Anna Gray. I said something like, "and you are Caleb Schalesky." We have talked of our last name before, so he got it. Then Caleb said (while pointing), "And that's Daddy Schalesky and Mommy Schalesky, and Caleb Schalesky, and Head Schalesky (pointing to my belly)."

"Head Schalesky?" Christian and I both repeat.

"Yes," says Caleb. "Baby's name is Head Schalesky."

So there you have it... Head Schalesky. Glad we don't have to deliberate on what to name this baby anymore. :)

That's too funny! You might recall that Ella suggested Hookah and Hippie when I was pregnant with Lucie.

If you do want to stick with the "head" sound and the baby turns out to be a girl, Hedda is a female Norwegian name...although I think it translates to "war" or "contention" so that might not be the most feminine choice. Oh, and there's that whole Hedda Gabler character...that doesn't bring great thoughts to mind. So, scratch that...maybe "Head" is better after all. :)
